High School becomes compulsory.

Teaching in today's classroom can be a challenging experience full of chances to observe our reality in the eyes of our kids.
It can be daunting, it can be horrifying, but most of the times it is an enriching opportunity to do something for the country where we were born, the place where we live, the people that will one day be in charge of changing or letting everything be the same as they found it...
Today Mexico's President Felipe Calderón announced that High school will be compulsory since next school year... to avoid children from being tempted to belong to criminal gangs... because if they are at school it won't happen...
So sad to read and to see the lack of sensibility, and the way in which the president pretends to avoid criminality, in an educational system that is not prepared to educate thousands of students who are not prepared to study either.
